The Teens’ Top Ten is basically the teen’s choice awards for young adult books from the previous year.  That means that teens across the country cast their vote for the books they thought were the best.

Unfortunately the voting has ended for this year’s event, but YALSA (the Young Adult Library Services Association) has announced the top ten books with the most votes.  Check out YALSA’s webite for more details.

So, which books made up the top ten?

1.  Divergent by Veronica Roth

2.  The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

3.  Legend by Marie Lu

4.  Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

5.  What Happened to Goodbye by Sarah Dessen

6.  Across the Universe by Beth Revis

7.  Cinder by Marissa Meye

8.  The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater

9.  Where She Went by Gayle Forman

10.  Abandon by Meg Cabot

So, do you guys agree with this list?  Have you read these books?  Did you like them?

Here is OCPL’s website if you want to place a hold on any of these items.

YALSA released this list as part of Teen Read Week (October 14-October 20).  The theme for this year’s TRW is:

It Came From the Library
Dare to Read for the Fun of It!

YALSA is now asking teens to vote for a theme for next year’s TRW.  The voting will close on the last day of TRW (October 20).
