It’s been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. So, first off, can I just say exactly how awesome of an idea this is? Its awesome! The angels aren’t good at all. They come down to destroy the world, killing pretty much everyone!

Tell me if I’m the only one sick of the whole ‘Angels are all good’ thing. Because…its annoying.

But anyway, so, when these “warrior” angels fly away with seventeen-year-old Penryn’s little sister, who is in a wheel chair I might add,  she will do anything to get her back.

I actually loved Penryn. Weird name i know, but she is pretty awesome. She is independent and can take care of herself. Even against enemy angels. Enter Raffe (Raphael), who was attacked by his own kind right before they stole Penryn’s little sister. They cut off his wings.

I loved Raffe, so much. He was sweet, but cold, and – and – just awesome. And understanding. But he was dangerous. He was a warrior. He promises to help her find her sister, and together they journey to the angels’ stronghold in San Francisco

She risks everything to rescue her sister and he’ll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.

The ending made me kind of sad but all in all its one of the coolest books I’ve read in a long time. Perfect chemistry and tension. I loved Raffe, and Penryn was one of those girls who actually makes good decisions. This book should deffently be on your to-read list.

(No book trailer! Boo!)
