Jekel Loves Hyde

By: Beth Fantaskey

Okay, first off, I actually had the idea for this book long before I read it – so when I found it I pretty much fangirled. Plus; amazing cover right?

Okay, onto the plot.

Jill Jekel has always obeyed her parents rules – its true she is a bit of a goodie-two-shoes, but you get over it – especially the one about never opening the mysterious, old box (of doom) in her father’s office.

But when her dad, a well known chemist, is murdered one night, and her college savings disappear without a trace, she’s tempted to peek inside. She thinks the contents might be the key to a lucrative chemistry scholarship that her school funds every year.

And, to even better improve her odds, Jill enlists the help of gorgeous, brooding Tristen Hyde. I loved Tristen so much, but he has his own dark secrets locked away inside him. He’s scary in the beginning…and the middle…and a bit of the end. But you get used to it.

As the team of Jekel and Hyde, they start re-creating the dangerous experiments based on Jill’s dad’s work in the secret box. And also the work based on the classic novel.

Hoping not only to win a prize, but to save Tristen’s sanity. The formula they will create might even save his life.  But Jill’s accidental taste of a formula unleashes her darkest nature and compels her to risk everything, even Tristen’s love just for the thrill of being …bad.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery, an amazing boy, and anyone who likes the classic Doctor Jekel and Mr. Hyde story. Loved it.
